September 2021

Welcome to Victory class! We are a Key Stage 3 class made up of 8 energetic, inquisitive, wonderful young people who all have a great sense of humour!

Most of us are new to Mary Rose Academy, or have recently transitioned up to Secondary.

We enjoy working together in small groups, and active games.

Our favourite things include exploring outside, sensory play and swimming

December 2021

Victory Class have had a great start to the school year.

They have enjoyed being able to discover the world of work through films.

They were able to enjoy cooking in the school cafe,  been out to our Forest School area to learn about looking after our environment and discovering their strengths and what attributes they bring to the school.

Victory class have also been developing their turn taking skills and playing games with their friends for some well-earned time learning about hobbies and leisure time.

Victory class are very excited to see what 2022 has in store!

 January 2022

Victory have returned from the Christmas Holidays re-energised and ready to learn! In Food Studies, we have sampled different tropical fruits and used them to make delicious, healthy smoothies as part of our New Year’s Resolution of healthy eating.

Our creative juices are already flowing for this term’s topic Art Attack! Over the last couple of weeks, Victory have been reading ‘The Dot’ and exploring and discussing a range of artwork.

Inspired by art movements such as pointillism, aboriginal art and pop art we have been creating dot art of our own using various mediums. We have not been afraid to get stuck in and messy either by exploring colour mixing with paint and shaving foam and pop art portraits with face paint.

Victory have also been working with the very greedy crocodile, to practice comparing numbers with dot shaped sweets. Although I think we ended up eating more sweets than the greedy crocodile!

Victory are now looking forward to exploring more art movements as the term unfolds.
