Sowers & Growers New Project

Post 16 Sowers and Growers began their new project this week, volunteering at Queen Elizabeth Country Park.

On arrival we met the park rangers who gave us our work assignments for the day. By the end of the mornings litter pick the Juniper car park was spotless! All students worked independently and especially enjoyed litter picking around the zip wire!

In the afternoon we got to work sweeping the many leaves that had been blown around from the recent storms. Our job was to sweep around the toilet block and make the area safe as the walk ways were slippy from all of the leaves and debris.

A great first day and this will be a regular opportunity for MRA students to make a wonderful contribution to their community.
