Dance Live! 2022

Yesterday at the Guildhall Portsmouth the students of Mary Rose Academy joined other schools in the first Dance Live! for 2 years and what a performance they gave!

Their piece called "I AM" was based on the Invictus Games and each and every one of the students put 100% effort and determination into the performance and we are so proud of them all.

We won two awards, one for Concept and one for Video Journey.

Students even had a surprise visit from the judges at the end of the show to share with them how close they were to placing 3rd........ 0.3 of a point between us and the 3rd place school!!

A massive thank you to all the staff, helpers and pupils for all their hard work in rehearsals over the past few weeks. The whole performance came together very professionally; the narrative video with amazing readers, music, lighting, staging, props, make up, costumes and whole performance was 100% 'simply the best'. - Sharon Burt CEO of Solent Academies Trust
